Adult autism often goes undiagnosed for years
Autism in adults is still widely underdiagnosed, especially for people who developed strong coping strategies, or whose presentation doesn't match outdated stereotypes. A thorough evaluation gives you an answer grounded in structured assessment rather than a checklist you found online.
The entire evaluation happens remotely, over secure video, in a space where you already feel comfortable. There is no waiting room and no unfamiliar office, and you don't have to mask through an in-person appointment before you've even started.
What the autism evaluation includes
Clinical Interview
A structured diagnostic interview covering developmental history, social and communication patterns, sensory experiences, special interests, and how these have shown up over the course of your life.
Standardized Measures
Normed self-report and diagnostic measures for autism, along with screening for commonly co-occurring conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression, which can overlap with or mask autistic traits.
Records Review
If you have prior evaluations, school records, or other relevant documentation, I review and incorporate them into the findings.
Together, these make up a full diagnostic evaluation. You receive a complete written report you can use for your own understanding, for workplace accommodations, or to share with other providers.

Evaluation fees are discussed up front on your free consultation call, so there's nothing unexpected later. Because I hold a PSYPACT license, I can provide this evaluation to residents of more than 45+ participating states.

Questions adults ask about autism testing
What if I don't fit the stereotypical picture of autism?
Most adults seeking evaluation don't. Autism in adults, especially those who developed strong coping strategies, often looks nothing like the outdated stereotypes. This evaluation is built around the full range of how autism presents in adulthood.
Can this evaluation tell the difference between autism, ADHD, and anxiety?
Yes. Differentiating between conditions that overlap or mask each other is a core part of the evaluation, which is why standardized screening for commonly co-occurring conditions is included alongside the autism-specific measures.
Will I get a diagnosis the same day?
No. After your clinical interview, I score and interpret all the standardized measures and prepare a full written report, which we then review together on a follow-up call.
What can I use the report for?
Common uses include personal understanding, workplace accommodation requests, and sharing findings with other treatment providers. The report documents the measures administered, your results, and specific recommendations.
